About HELP University
HELP University is one of Malaysia's best-known private universities, founded in 1986 in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The name stands for Higher Education Learning Philosophy, and from its earliest days the institution built a reputation for affordable, quality education and for pioneering twinning programmes that let students begin their degree in Malaysia before transferring to a partner university abroad. HELP grew from an institute into a university college in 2004, and was awarded full university status in 2011.
Today HELP is especially respected for its strengths in psychology, business, economics and law. Its psychology programmes are among the most established in the country, while its schools of business, economics and accounting draw students from across Asia and beyond. Teaching spans behavioural sciences, business and economics, law and government, communication and media, and computing and digital technology, supported by a graduate school and a dedicated Institute for Crime and Criminology.
The university operates two campuses: a city campus in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur, and a larger, award-winning green campus in Subang Bestari, Shah Alam, opened in 2016. For Bangladeshi students, HELP offers a well-recognised brand, an English-medium learning environment, a wide choice of pathways from foundation to postgraduate study, and a welcoming multicultural community close to the amenities of Kuala Lumpur.
